Your Stomach Is Bloated and Here Is How to Get Rid of It!
Many people think that bloated is the feeling of having built-up gas in your digestive system that makes your stomach protrude out uncomfortably. They feel full and their stomach is bloated. We all know that this is a common problem, which usually occurs after a heavy meal. But, there are some people that feel bloated all the time. These are the most common reasons for that:

First, you don’t drink enough water – you should know that many health problems usually appear if you don’t drink enough water every day. Well, this usually happens when you drink coffee or alcohol. So, if you drink coffee and alcohol, make sure you drink 6-8 glasses of water as well. You should also know that when you don’t drink enough water, your organism starts using the liquids it can find, which means that bloating can be caused due to fluid retention. For that reason, you have to start drinking lots of water.
Constipation – if you suffer from constipation, you need to add more fiber into your healthy diet, to speed up the process and get rid of bloating, because gasses are trapped behind the feces and they can cause bloating. First, you need to consume small amount of fiber, don’t eat too much – because it can make the problem even worse. Note: make sure you use whole grain bread instead of white bread, drink a lot of smoothies and eat more berries.

You are too stressed – a recent study has found that bloating can be caused by too much stress. This is probably because when the system is stressed, the brain prevents the digestive system from functioning properly. Also, you may be bloated by constipation and stomach ache. Once you relieve the stress, you will solve the issue with bloating.
You eat too fast – if you don’t chew your food properly, the body will process it more slowly and bloating may appear. Also, it is very significant to eat in small bites.
Carbs – you should also know that bloating can occur if you consume too much carbs. So, you can solve this problem by eating low-carb foods. Also, replace sugar and alcohol with vegetable and fruit.

One of the main reasons that we get dark circles around are eyes is genetics, but also getting older, dry skin, crying, long hours facing a computer screen, stress, lack of sleep and an unhealthy diet. Men and women from different age groups can suffer from this problem, and even though it's not a health risk, no one looks to look exhausted and tired..
Luckily, there are a number of handy home remedies that'll get rid of those dark shadows with a few common ingredients found in any home.
1. Turmeric
Turmeric has both antioxidants and anti-inflammation properties and so can be used to freshen your skin and fix that tired look. Take the powder and mix it with pineapple water to create a thick mix. Smear the mix under your eyes, leave for 10 minutes and then wipe with a moist, soft cloth. Aside from removing the circles, it will soften your skin. Use daily until you see the desired effects.
2. Raw Potato
Potatoes have natural bleaching agents that can help you brighten up those circles. Take 1-2 cool potatoes and smash them until you can get the juice out. Now, dip a cotton ball in the potato juice and put on your (closed) eyes. Make sure the juice covers the black circles as well as the lids. Leave for 10-15 minutes and then rinse your eyelids well with cold water. If you don't want to use the juice, you can also just slice it like the cucumber with the same process, but the juice will be more potent.
3. Tomatoes

Yes, tomatoes too can help lighten the skin under your eyes. Take a spoon of tomato juice and mix with one spoon of lemon juice. Put the mix (using cotton balls again) gently on the eyes and leave for 10 minutes. Then, rinse with clean water. Do this twice a day to get rid of puffiness and dark circles.
4. Rose Water
A quick fix for those circles makes use of the great skin care benefits of rose water. Take cotton bandages and soak them in rose water for a few minutes. Then, place them on your closed eyelids for about 15 minutes. The rose water has a calming effect on the eyes and the skin around it. This solution can remove the dark circles completely if used twice a day for several weeks.
5. Almond Oil
Almond oil is another natural ingredient that benefits the delicate skin around our eyes. Regular use of almond oil can brighten the skin as well as nourish it. Take a little almond oil, place on the dark circles and gently massage it into the skin. Leave it overnight and wash with cold water in the morning.
Do this every day until the circles are completely gone. If you don't have almond oil, you can also use a Vitamin E enriched oil.
6. Lemon Juice
The high vitamin C content in lemon juice can serve to remove the circles. Dip a cotton ball in fresh lemon juice and apply to the skin around your eyes for 10 minutes before washing it off.
Another option is to make a thick mix by mixing one table spoon of lemon juice with 2 table spoons of tomato paste, a smidgen of humus flour and turmeric powder. Smear the mix gently around the eyes and leave on for 10-15 minutes, then wash with clean water. Repeat this 2-3 times a week and the skin will soon become much lighter.
7. Cold Water
Cold water can narrow the blood vessels underneath the eyes and help reduce puffiness and dark circles. Dip a clean, soft cloth in cold water or milk and put directly on the eyelids for several minutes.
Another option is to wrap a few ice cubes in a soft cloth and hold them under the eyes. A bag of frozen peas, of cold tea or even a cold spoon can also help. Repeat this 3-4 times a week for several weeks.
8. Apple
An apple too can provide a natural solution for removing those stubborn circles. Slice them up thickly and put under your eyes for 30 minutes before washing with cold water. Put some relaxing cream after this is done.
Another course of action is to make a mash of green, cooked apples and put under the eyes for half an hour, then wash with lukewarm water.
9. Mint
Mint has a cooling effect on the skin that naturally removes the dark skin. Take a few fresh mint leaves and mash them gently. Smear the mix on your eyes and leave for 10-15 minutes. Gently rub away with a clean cloth.
Another option is adding mint leaves to tomato juice and smearing under the eyes, leaving it for several minutes and then washing with cold water.
10. Cucumber
The cucumber is an age old solution for black circles. It is good at making your skin look lighter. For a quick fix for those circles, take a fresh cucumber and slice it into thick slices. Put them in the fridge for 30 minutes, then put the slices on the area of your eye for 10 minutes and rinse with water. This solution has a calming and refreshing effect.
Another option is to mix cucumber juice with lemon juice in equal amounts, and use a cotton ball to apply to the skin underneath the eyes. Leave the cotton on for about 15 minutes and then rinse with water. Do this every day for a week and the puffiness, as well as the dark areas, will shy away.

Many people of different ages often suffer from heartburn which is caused by rising stomach acid and whose main symptom is a burning sensation in the chest and throat. This occurs because of physical factors such as pregnancy, defects in the esophageal sphincter that do not prevent the rise of acid, or because of eating fatty foods and drinking carbonated beverages. The burning sensation is usually intolerable, which causes many people to take antacid medications, either prescription or OTC, and assume that they have treated the problem.
However, in a recent study and preliminary results published in the American Journal of Cardiology, these drugs significantly increase the risk of ischemic stroke, a fact that sheds a completely new light on the dangers of using them. In the next article, you’ll learn more about the findings of this study, and also a few natural and effective ways to deal with heartburn that will prevent you from having to reach for the medicine shelf.
How do antacids work?
As mentioned above, heartburn is caused by the rise of gastric acid to the esophagus that causes a burning sensation in the chest area. Antacids used to treat heartburn which are included in the Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPI's) group, treat the problem by reducing acid secretion in the stomach so that it can’t rise up through the esophagus. There are few differences between the various antacids, but most of them work in this method and contain Proton Pump Inhibitors.

What is the possible risk of taking antacids?

In a study published in the online journal of the American Cardiology Society, these common drugs are not as safe to use as they were thought to be. During the course of the study, doctors analyzed medical records of nearly 245,000 people in Denmark, aged 57, who underwent an endoscopy procedure to find the causes of digestive difficulties and stomach aches. When the subjects returned to follow-up tests after the procedure, 9,500 of them had an ischemic stroke caused by a disturbance in blood flow to the brain.
Dr. Thomas Sehested, a researcher at the Danish Heart Foundation, and his colleagues examined whether patients with stroke took one of four common PPI drugs: omeprazole, pantoprazole (Protonix), lansoprazole (Prevacid) and esomeprazole (Nexium).

The results of the comprehensive study

Dr. Sehested and his colleagues found that there was a link between taking one of these drugs and an increased risk of stroke, since people who regularly took these drugs were 21 percent more likely to have ischemic stroke than non-users Furthermore, subjects taking high-dose PPIs had a 30 to 94% chance of having the stroke of the type described.

These results are preliminary and diagnostic, but there appears to be a high correlation between taking antacids and the risk of ischemic stroke. Therefore, if you are taking PPI’s regularly or considering doing so, you may want to consult your doctor to avoid excessive amounts or to consider alternative treatment options.
Natural heartburn treatments
The temptation to reach for a pill when you feel heartburn coming on is great, but as mentioned, there may be several health risks. In order to avoid this problem, and still treat the heartburn, you can make use of a number of different and varied methods while also changing your diet. Just pick one of the following natural ways to soothe heartburn and eliminate the need to take medicine:
Eating bananas - This tasty yellow fruit contains natural acids which work against those that are formed in the stomach which rise to the esophagus. It is recommended to eat one ripe banana a day to enjoy its long-term benefits and to reduce heartburn.
Drink soda water – Baking soda has many wonderful benefits one of which is calming heartburn. This is due to the fact that baking soda has a basic acidity level (pH = 7), so it contradicts the acid in the stomach and neutralizes it. In order to enjoy this natural solution, add between 1/2 - 1 teaspoon of baking soda to 200 ml of water, mix until dissolved and drink. Drink no more than 3 ½ teaspoons in 24 hours.
Protect the body with aloe vera juice - The wonderful aloe vera plant helps not only to soothe sunburn but also burning caused by a rise in gastric acid. This is due to the anti-inflammatory properties of the juice produced from the plant, which calms the irritation in the stomach during heartburn. If you experience heartburn, try drinking a glass of aloe vera juice to prevent the condition from getting worse.
Treat yourself with Chamomile Tea - This fragrant tea helps greatly in cases of digestive difficulties and heartburn. Drinking a cup of chamomile tea between half an hour and an hour before bedtime will help relieve the inflammation and irritation in the stomach that lead to heartburn. Moreover, chamomile relaxes the body and mind and therefore contributes to the decrease in tension that also causes heartburn.

Your bowels are tasked with removing waste and toxins from our body, as well as absorbing salts, liquids, nutrients, indigestible vitamins. They do it to extract all possible nutrients that weren’t digested in the stomach and maintain the balance of electrolytes in our system.
When your bowels are not functioning well, they collect the waste and toxins they’re supposed to get rid of, resulting in various diseases and health issues. If left undiagnosed and untreated, obstructed bowels lead to kidney and liver-related health problems. In this article, you’ll learn all you need to know about bowel obstruction, symptoms that should serve as warning signals, and the natural home remedies needed to fix and prevent it.
What causes gastric obstructions?
The reasons for obstructed bowels are plentiful, such as hernias, cysts, tumors, etc. Another reason is overeating foods that are harmful to our bodies, such as food rich in preservatives and other chemicals. These chemicals lead to a buildup of mucus in the guts, which releases toxins that can damage the body. Another cause is a buildup of fecal matter or foreign bodies in the lower intestine.
Bezoars can also cause gastric obstructions. Bezoars are a fibrous lump that forms in the stomach, and the most common type is formed of undigested pieces of food. They are mainly composed out of plant cellulose, most common in unripe fruit and persimmons.
Men are in a higher risk group for contracting phytobezoars in their stomachs, with symptoms that include upper gastric pains, feeling full soon after beginning to eat, nausea, vomiting, lack of appetite and loss of weight. Symptoms only appear in 10-25% of the cases, making phytobezoars hard to diagnose, and can lead to gastric obstructions.
What happens when your gastrointestinal system is obstructed?
When the small intestine is blocked, it will begin contracting in order to move its content beyond the obstruction, which can lead to frequent diarrhea. In later stages, it will become less effective, causing a buildup of water and electrolytes that can lead to dehydration.
The obstruction will also create pressure on the intestinal walls, and if left untreated – will only get worse. This can lead to venous drainage obstruction, a rising of the diaphragm, and a suppression of the lungs’ function. The obstruction itself will aid in the bacterial buildup, in particular, E-Coli, Klebsiella, and Enterococcus Faecalis. The bacteria colonies will grow very quickly, increasing the chances of gangrene and intestinal punctures.
Patients lose their ability to pass feces and gasses along the intestine, causing swelling and increasing stomach pains. The large intestine will expand due to the buildup of bacterium, liquids, feces and gasses.
Which symptoms can indicate an obstruction?
Symptoms can be evidence of obstruction caused be stomach cramping or phytobezoars. Once you notice these symptoms, it is recommended that you pay a visit to your family doctor, to evaluate the nature of the obstruction. Not all symptoms may appear, but they will appear in these general groups:
  • Constipation, diarrhea, flatulence, lethargy and swelling.
  • Headaches, memory loss, blurred vision.
  • Burning sensation in the upper digestive system.
  • Weight gain, lack of energy and indigestion.
  • Ulcers in the stomach and Duodenum, ulcerative colitis and stomach inflammation.
  • Urinary tract infections and inflammation of the kidneys.
  • Constant colds, allergies, joint pains and chronic diseases..
The most basic treatment is hooking the patient up to an IV, which can only be performed by a doctor. In some cases, the obstructions can be relieved by using a nasogastric tube, and in severe cases, an operation will be required. An enema may help in some cases, but if performed incorrectly – can lead to internal bleeding.
The simplest, natural treatment for intestinal obstruction is eating 1-3 tablespoons of flax seeds, combined with 100-15ml of Kefir (a type of fermented milk drink) for three days. Flax seeds help the body dispose of fecal matter, mucus and parasites. Additionally, flax seeds can help prevent several forms of cancer, heart diseases, diabetes, and even help lower cholesterol levels. Kefir contains many probiotic bacteria, enzymes, vitamin B12 and proteins, all of which are good for your body. Kefir also helps in restoring the gastric biome and is lactose-free.
To clear your intestines from obstructions, add kefir and flax seeds to your breakfast in this manner:
  • 1st week: 100ml of kefir and one tablespoon of flax seeds
  • 2nd week: 100ml of kefir and two tablespoons of flax seeds
  • 3rd week: 150ml of kefir and three tablespoons of flax seeds
Additionally, drink at least two liters of water every day.
The best way to unblock a phytobezoar obstruction is by eating food that is high in protein and low in fiber. Once the blockage is gone, follow these dietary tips to heal and prevent reoccurrences.
  • Beverages: It is advised that you keep your body well hydrated. Drink fruit-shakes, water, and sports drinks that are rich in electrolytes. Avoid high-fat dairy.
  • Dairy: Stick to low-fat or fat-free products.
  • Grains and bread: Fiber from whole grain tends to slow down the digestive process. Focus on plain white bread, pasta, and regular grain..
  • Fruits and vegetables: Boiled or canned fruits and vegetables are the way to go. Avoid eating the skin. Watermelon, melons, and bananas can be consumed fresh. Avoid high-fiber fruits and vegetables.
  • Meat and meat substitutes: Protein is essential to the healing process. Stick to skinless chicken or turkey meat. Other kinds of lean meat, such as fish, eggs and tofu are also good.
  • Other: Avoid fried foods and use as little butter as possible. Boiled or steamed foods are the most recommended. Minimize the use of seasoning and fatty sauces and dressings.
